I am Jeremy Stedry and have been teaching middle school mathematics for eleven years. This will be my tenth year teaching at Hemlock Middle School and my fifth as the instructor for Algebra 1. This will be my fifth go around with 6th graders. Partnered with Mrs. Helmer, we are the advisors for our school's Student Council.
Along with several of our staff, I am a Hemlock native and alumnus. Graduating in 2006, I found myself in the coaching ranks in town. This led to me to seeking a degree in education from Saginaw Valley State University in secondary education with a concentration in mathematics and chemistry.
Recently, I received my Masters in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. This degree also allows me to carry a School Administrator Certificate for the State of Michigan for possible principalship or other administrative roles in the future.
Outside of school, I spend as much time as possible with my family. My wife, Jenna, is the elementary art teacher at Freeland Schools. On May 23 of last year, God blessed us with the birth of our son, Dwier. I couldn't forget our fur kids, as we have two pups, Paislie and Hattie. Quinn roams the house too to make sure things are in order.
Other interests of mine include vintage base ball and real estate. I play 1860's style ball for the Bay City Independents and currently hold my real estate license at Modern Realty in Midland.
